All of us dream big and have hidden desires close to our heart. Chef Saby shares the big dreams he had and how he achieved his dreams. Sabyasachi Gorai believed in the power of dreaming big and narrates his success story of how he achieved the title of ‘Best Chef of India’. A small town boy from Asansol, belonging to a middle-class family, he faced the loss of his mother at the age of 18. But with the mantra, ‘believe in yourself’ and a positive attitude he achieved success in life. A learning disability or even failing in school never stopped him to give up on the ‘believe in yourself’ mantra.
Sabyasachi Gorai is today known as Chef Saby and runs his restaurant Lavaash by Saby. His journey into the world of food entrepreneurship wasn’t without struggles. He started as a backbencher students pursuing the Hotel Management course. Training, hard work, dreaming big and self-motivation have led Chef Saby to be recognized as one of the greatest food connoisseurs in the food and beverage industry.
There were times in his life when he felt lost and looked for some inspiration. But through life experiences, Chef Saby learned that looking within, and the right amount of confidence, motivation, hard work, determination were the true source of inspiration. Sharing one of the most inspiring moments of his life, Chef Saby says he began with Rs 500 and a broken bicycle, but with a zeal for hard work, a dream big attitude and lots of confidence, he found his true potential.
