Shachi Singh is the founder of Ehsaas, an organisation that works with children living on the streets or at the railway station, spending their days doing small-time work to make ends meet. Shachi Singh’s involvement made Charbagh station the first railway station in India to be declared child labour free. She was presented with the National Award for ChildWelfare 2014 on November 14th, 2015 at the Rashtrapati Bhawan by Honourable President of India Sh. Pranab Mukerjee for exemplary work in the field of Child Welfare.
