Dharavi, the largest slum in Asia, is home to a majority of rag-pickers. Noticeably, a large number of them are children. Vinod wanted to bring some educational and recreational element into the lives of these children who, otherwise, lead very tough lives. That’s how ‘Dharavi Rocks’ was born, a cheerful and heartening initiative that makes music out of the very junk the children collect.

Monika Bhardwaj is the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) of the West District, being the second woman DCP in West District after Kiran Bedi. Monika was born in Sampla Village of Rohtak District, Haryana. After completing schooling from Rohtak, she did her graduation from Delhi University and started preparation for Civil Services. She is a third generation police officer from her family.
